Sniffer Dog Finds Man’s Severed Nose In The Bin

Austrian cops are investigating after a man from Afghanistan claimed his nose had been knocked off in a bike accident and a K9 police dog then found it thrown in a bin.

Cops in the Austrian city of Graz who took the man to the hospital were suspicious when they found that the cycle he had been using showed no signs of an accident.

After going to the scene of the alleged incident, and using a sniffer dog, they found the severed nose in the bin.

The 23-year-old man from Afghanistan told the police on 20th August that the nose had fallen off as a result of the bike accident.

After treatment from doctors, the severed organ that was recovered from the bin. Near the local train station was cooled ready to be reattached.

However, the attempt failed because the man refused to cooperate.

Police believe that he had been involved in a mass punch-up that had been reported earlier. And had not wanted to make a report about the incident so invented the story about the cycle accident. When he turned up at the police station at 5:20am in the morning.

Police spokesman Fritz Grundnig confirmed that the nose had been completely severed in its entirety. And that the injury had not just involved the tip.

He said: “It was a shocking experience for the officers on duty when he walked in with his entire nose missing and covered in blood.”

He said the attempt by surgeons to reattach the organ failed because the man was uncooperative. And police are waiting to interview him again to try and find out what happened.
