Ricky Gervais Signs Teddy Bear And Leaves It Somewhere In Vienna For Fans To Find
British comedy superstar Ricky Gervais has signed a teddy bear and left it somewhere in the Austrian capital Vienna for fans to find.
The comedy legend, who is known for creating and starring in hit TV shows The Office and After Life, as well as hosting the Golden Globes five times, was performing at the Wiener Stadthalle on Saturday evening, on 10th June.
And the following day, Gervais, 61, took a sightseeing tour of the city and posted a picture of himself with a teddy bear, which can be seen wearing a red T-shirt depicting some of the famous sites in the city, including Schonnbrunn Palace and the Prater giant Ferris wheel.
Gervais captioned the photograph, which at the time of writing had nearly 800,000 views on Twitter: “Just signed this little bear dude & now I’m gonna hide him somewhere in beautiful Vienna for someone to find and take home.”
The comedian then tweeted a number of photographs showing the bear apparently placed at Saint Stephen’s Cathedral in the heart of the first district of the Austrian capital.
A short while later, a netizen going by ‘Balosso2023’ responded with a photo apparently showing him with the teddy bear, saying: “Ricky Gervais, I missed it last time but I was ready now! Thanks Ricky and awesome show yesterday! I really hope Timmy ends up in the special hahaha”.
Netizens were quick to congratulate the man, whose post had nearly 300,000 views at the time of writing, and to ask the world-famous British comedian to pull similar stunts in their cities.
