Deluded Fritzl has already instructed lawyers to start searching for a suitable property, they have confirmed, and even plans to write his revolting memoirs.

The revelations came just days after judges in Austria ruled that he could be moved from a maximum security hospital wing for the criminally insane to a regular prison – a move Fritzl and his lawyers say will pave the way for a full release as early as next year.

Depraved Fritzl, who kept his daughter as a sex slave for 24 years, harboured hopes that the move would trigger a legal process leading to early release.

But at a 14th May hearing judges at Krems an der Donau Regional Court snuffed out any chance of freedom because of 89-year-old Fritzl’s “unprecedented criminal energy”.

Now Fritzl’s lawyer Astrid Wagner has revealed how despite the crushing verdict he still dreams of a free life in the Austrian countryside and there are now even better chances for a release.

Wagner told local media of a post-hearing meeting with her twisted client at Stein prison where he is waiting for his transfer.

She revealed that monster Fritzl is “toying with the idea” of writing a sick memoir of his revolting crimes.

And he told how “elegant” Fritzl keeps fit and grows veg in his cell in his prison regime.

Wagner said: “As always, he was very elegant and came in with a ‘casual look’.”

Bizarrely she explained that she had “disturbed him during his nap, but he wasn’t angry with me.”

Wagner added that even after being told of he court’s verdict confused Fritzl asked her: “Can I finally go home now?”

Wagner explained: “It won’t be easy. Of course, he needs care.

“But he already asked me for a property broker.

“That’s just what makes him a bit distorted from reality.”

Fritlz could soon be transferred to the Suben prison or to Tullnerbach, according to local media.

And because he has served more than 15 years behind bars, a conditional release from custody could be possible in the future.

Wagner is expected to begin preparing a case as early as next year and does not expect the applicationm to be opposed.

Wagner said: “He’s very sorry about what happened and wants to drive around a bit and be home.

“He believes that he will be free. And given his old age, it is really realistic that he will be able to spend his last years in freedom.

“Fritzl seems fit. The development of dementia is not unusual at this age.

“He does gymnastics in the morning. He buys fruit in the prison shop, he especially likes grapes. He also grows vegetables in his cell.”
