The 200mph Lambo Huracan flipped as its driver was taking a bend in Hollenthon, Austria, landing on its roof in a meadow after bouncing off an embankment.

Pictures show firefighters righting the 630-hp sports car with winches and cables after the crash on 9th July.

The white Huracan overturned and landed on its roof in the spectacular accident outside the small town of Hollenthon, Lower Austria State.

The driver and – it is understood – one passenger were rushed to hospital by helicopter after being treated by paramedics.

No other vehicles were involved in the smash and it is unclear how the car, which can reach 60mph (97 kph) in less than three seconds, came off the road.

Firefighters retrieved the supercar before it was hauled away by a towing service.

Hollenthon Fire Brigade spokesman Christoph Schwarz told Newsflash: “For us, it was a routine operation.

“The fact that the car was a Lamborghini did not affect our efforts in any way.”

He added: “We used the same equipment we would have applied had a Volkswagen Golf ended up in the embankment.”

He explained: “Overall, we spend one and a half hours at the scene. We had to wait for the police to finish their investigation. We lifted the car back on the street and handed it over to a towing service company.

“It’s a bendy road but I won’t speculate regarding the cause of the accident. The police have to find out what happened.”

Netizens showed mixed reactions to the crash.

One social media user, ‘Lukas Joksch’, commented: “Shame about the beautiful car. I’ll never be able to afford such a motor. Its technique and features are stunning.”

‘Tierzuliebe’ criticised: “It seems to be that all the stinking fuss about vehicles can be perceived in another galaxy.”

‘Cranach’ asked: “Are news like these supposed to trigger envy? Anyone capable of affording such a car will get over it. They surely can afford insurance too.”

‘Kohlumbus’ joked: “I’m convinced they weren’t speeding – why can’t citizens place their meadows elsewhere?”

‘Harun Ai Raschid’ said: “Well done! This car is a murder weapon.”

‘WS’ emphasised: “Those affected surely weren’t poor. No one else was involved. Now their insurance is dealing with it, no worries.”

‘Wolfram Reichert’ added: “Their insurer will shed some tears.”

‘Vienna’ quipped: “First, he ran out of talent, then he ran out of tarmac.”
